The Lighthouse of Buck’s Bend

By J.B. Harp

What is Buck’s Bend?

  • Buck’s Bend is a small town in Oregon, with a population of around 4,000 people.

  • Having once been a port town, the main part of Buck’s Bend is situated at the foot of a large hill.

  • On top of that hill is a lighthouse that is out of service to everyone except the local fishing and trapping boats.

  • To outsiders, this cozy little town is a nice place for a vacation or a get away, but for those who know what the locals keep finding in the lighthouse, it might not be as welcoming a destination.

What is the book?

The book is here to tell a story. What kind of story? A murder mystery? A classic who done it? That is yet to be seen. This book is simply a man’s journal, as he recounts the story of how he became one of the most wanted men in the United States. Including how he is related to the infamous 2002 and 2010 murders of Buck’s Bend. How did a kid, born and raised in a small town in Oregon, become the outlaw he is today? Well, it’s all in his journal, in his own words. But, if you do decide to read his journal, don’t be surprised when you see dark vans parked outside your house at night. Or when you find that 3 of your tires have been slashed. Or you start receiving letters in the mail, with no return addresses, saying that you should probably start drafting yours will.

Where to read.

While I have the story completely written out, I still need to type it on a computer so I can edit and format, and that will take some time. I will be posting some of the new entries online on some publishing websites under the name J.B. Lyre. It is not likely that the whole story will be posted anywhere else but, on this website, so soon I will find a way to post the Entries on here as I finish them.

These are the entries that I currently have available for free. If these links don’t work, use the two line menu in the top right corner.
